Fields 060–063: Elementary Education Generalist

The test design below describes general testing information. The assessment blueprints that follow are detailed outlines that explain the knowledge and skills that this test measures.

Test Design

  • Subtest 1: Reading and English Language Arts: 50 multiple-choice questions
  • Subtest 2: Mathematics: 50 multiple-choice questions
  • Subtest 3: Science, Health, and Physical Education: 40 multiple-choice questions
  • Subtest 4: Social Studies and Fine Arts: 40 multiple-choice questions
Time*
  • Subtest 1: Reading and English Language Arts: 60 minutes
  • Subtest 2: Mathematics
    NOTE: Beginning November 12, 2018, testing time will increase by 30 minutes.
    • Test dates through November 11, 2018: 60 minutes
    • Beginning November 12, 2018: 90 minutes
  • Subtest 3: Science, Health, and Physical Education: 45 minutes
  • Subtest 4: Social Studies and Fine Arts: 45 minutes
Passing Score 220 per subtest; candidates must pass all four subtests.
